Using Cantilever Racks to Place Wood, Pipes

  Cantilever racks are composed of cantilevers installed on the uprights. As the whole structure looks like human arm in shape, it is called cantilever rack. The base of shelf is firmly fixed on the ground, and cantilevers fixed on the column. The distance between arms can be adjusted by using the holes on uprights according to the needs of customers. According to the carrying capacity, cantilever racks can be divided into three types: light, medium, and heavy ones; In line with structure of the racks, they can be divided into single-sided cantilever racks and double-sided cantilever racks.

  Cantilever racks, which are with simple structure, strong body and strong bearing capacity, are ideal tool for storing long and heavy goods such as wood, pipes and steel.

  Features of cantilever racks

  1. Good load capacity: the uprights and bases are usually made of H-shaped steel or cold-rolled steel, and those arms are made from steel or square tube. The three components are locked with bolts and can bear weight of 2 to 3 tons cargo, which is suitable for storing items such as steel pipes, wood, long rolls of metal and cloth. In addition, when placing irregular or special length items, it can greatly improve work efficiency;

  2. The specifications of the cantilever shelving can be customized. According to the situation of the customer's warehouse, the manufacturer can design single-sided cantilever racks placed against the wall or a double-sided cantilever racks placed in the center of the warehouse. Cantilever shelves are connected by multiple columns to form a row of shelving, so that each shelf unit can store different types of goods.

  If it is necessary to store bulky and irregular shape goods, the factory should add steel or wood panels or mesh pallets on cantilever beams, the method of which is especially for warehouses with small spaces;

  There is a stopper at the end of the arm to prevent those round cargo from slipping. In this way, it is convenient for customers to put on or retrieve goods.

  3. Auxiliary tools can be used for dealing with products such as cranes, forklifts, and stackers. When depositing or picking up goods, it is necessary to handle the goods on the upper layer first, and then dispose of products from the lower layer. When using cantilever racks, the handling equipment should be with a wider fork.

  4. The height of the shelf is generally below 6M, and the ones most warehouses use  are usually within 2.5 meters high(if the goods are handled by a forklift, the height can reach 6 meters), the length of the arm is within 1.5 meters, and the load of each arm is usually within 1000KG. This kind of shelf is mostly used in the machinery manufacturing industry and building materials supermarkets.
