  Gravity Rack

  Gravity racks are also called self-gravity racks or roller racks. The structure of the gravity shelving is similar to that of the beam racking, except that a roller track is installed on the beam, and the track is inclined at 3-5°. The goods move from one end to the lower end to complete delivery.

  This type of shelving adopts the first-in-first-out storage method, which is more suitable for storage operations with pallets as the carrier. The goods are stacked neatly, which provides a better solution for the storage of large and heavy objects. Gravity shelves are suitable for the storage of small varieties and large quantities of similar goods. Since there is no working channel between the two sets of racking, the storage space is increased by half.

  The total depth of the shelving (that is, the length of the guide rail) should not be large, and if the ramp is too long, the controllability of the slide will be poor, which will easily cause blockage, or the tipping of goods. In order to make the slide smoothly, a damping device should be added in the middle. In order to prevent the pallet cargo from tipping over due to excessive impact force when it slides to the bottom, a buffer device and a take-off device should be installed at the lowest point of the ramp. This kind of racking should not be too high, generally within 6 meters, and the weight of a single pallet of goods is generally within 1000KG, otherwise its reliability and operability will be reduced.

  Gravity racking is a kind of intensive racking, which can store goods intensively on a large scale. Compared with the dense storage function of mobile racking, its scale can be made larger. Gravity racks can be used from light-weight small items under 1 kg to pallets and even small containers. Due to the high density, the number of passages is reduced, which can effectively save the area of the warehouse. Forklift running distance can be shortened by 1/3.

  Besides, when goods are in and out, the tools do not cross each other, do not interfere with each other, the accident rate is reduced.

  The storage area of this kind of racking only needs two channels for delivery, and the areas are strictly separated to avoid unnecessary safety hazards caused by cross-operation.

  If there is warehouse to be built, the investment cost of gravity racks is lower than that of automated three-dimensional warehouses, and the manufacturing period is shorter.
