Flow-through racking is a first-in-first-out shelving. Goods are put in from the rear of the shelf and picked up from the front. And this shelving is usually equipped with plastic turnover boxes or cartons, which greatly improves utilization rate of space. The racking systems are mainly used in assembly workshops or various distribution centers.
Flow-through racks are also called side-sliding shelves. It has a rolling track in the middle of the shelf beams to put goods on one side and pick them up on the other. There is a height difference between the front and rear beams, which is at a certain slope (about 3°). Products use their own gravity to realize the first-in, first-out. Generally, the guide rails adopt sheet metal runner bars or aluminum alloy runner bars, and store plastic boxes, cartons, turnover boxes, etc. which is suitable for turnover or selecting goods in a short time. Especially, it perfect for process on both sides of the assembly line.
The load-bearing capacity of the runner roller is 6kg/piece. When the goods are heavy, 3-4 runners can be installed on one track. Usually, a support beam is installed every 0.6m in the depth direction to increase bearing capacity of the runner; When the track is long, a dividing plate can be used to separate it; then there will be a brake pad at the pick-up end to slow down the goods and reduce the impact.
High-quality runner, with stable operation, large load, low noise, can work normally in ultra-low temperature environment of -40℃.
The load capacity of each layer of rolling shelves is usually about 100KG, and the shelving height is within 2.5 meters. This type of rack is generally used in distribution centers, medical logistics centers, electronics industries, automobile assembly workshops and other warehouses with high frequency operation.
All goods can be equipped with electronic labels to realize intelligent management of goods and reduce waste.
Customers can use one set of rolling rack or several shelves together. Its structure is simple, compact, and has no energy consumption. Also, Its operating efficiency can be increased by 50% compared with other shelves.
Flow-through shelves have high storage efficiency and are suitable for short-term storage of large quantities of goods. It is especially suitable for the storage of goods with small varieties and large batches.
Specification
1. When customizing rolling shelves, according to the customer's requirements, confirm the length, width and height of the turnover boxes or cartons, confirm which direction goods are in, make several lanes on each layer, put several boxes in each lane, and the size of track is determined according to the delivery direction of the box. According to these requirements, determine the overall dimensions of the shelf.
The inclination of the runner depends on the size and weight of the container and the depth of shelving.(usually 3-5 degrees)
2. The load-bearing capacity of the shelf is determined based on the number of boxes stored on each layer.
3. The distance between tiers can be adjusted through the holes on the uprights, and the distance is 50mm or 75mm. The upright adopts automatic punching followed by cold bending forming technology.
4. Cross beams: Front and rear beams. The front beam is higher than the runner roller to prevent goods from falling. These beams are equipped with safety buckles to prevent the beams from moving.
5. According to weight of the product, the runner can be made of sheet metal ones or aluminum alloy ones. Color of wheel is generally yellow. And the length of track is determined by the length and quantity of the box.
6. There is a guide plate between channels, material of which is generally made of bent sheet metal, which serves as a guide to prevent the products from the two channels from mixing.
7. Assembled structure, generally no need of expansion bolts, and it is easy to disassemble and assemble.
The cost of flow-through racking is low, and the efficiency is quite high, saving costs such as forklifts.
The overall structure of the rolling bars:
The bracket uses sheet metal runner or aluminum alloy runner, and the rollers are generally nylon wheels. The rollers are made of high-quality thermoplastic, which has a small coefficient of friction, excellent impact resistance, and is strong and not fragile. In terms of chemical properties, it has good acid and alkali resistance and does not absorb moisture. The U-shaped groove of the rolling bar is made of steel plate, and the edges are rounded. The bearing capacity is up to 6kg/axis. These bars can work normally under the low temperature of conventional cold storage. The front rails, rear rails, and side panels are all made of bent steel plates, which ensure goods be blocked and not leave shelving. The side panels allow the goods to slide down smoothly along the runner.
A shelving system with similar working principle to flow-through shelves is gravity racking. There are several differences between internal structures of them. In addition to rollers, gravity shelves also have guide plates, damping rollers and other devices. Compared with gravity shelves, rolling shelves are relatively simple, the basic configuration is only flowing bars. Besides, their load-carrying capacity are different. The normal load capacity of roller racking is around 100-500kg, while the gravity racks can carry heavier goods.
